Coro Su Ali d’Aquila

type of activity: Association

This parish choir of the Abbazia di San Bartolomeo di Campofilone has been directed by Riccardo Spinosi since Easter 1999. Composed mostly of female voices, it includes around 35 choristers and takes its name from a song very dear to them, “Su ali d’aquila” (lit. On Egle’s wings). Originally formed to animate Sunday Holy Masses, the choir also often performs at baptisms, communions, confirmations and weddings. It also organizes and participates in benefit concerts in collaboration with other parish choirs in the area. In December 2024, on the occasion of its 25th anniversary, the choir performed during Holy Mass at the Altar of the Cathedra in St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City. The repertoire ranges from sacred music (including Vincentian and Franciscan chants) to secular music.
